From IU + LV understand the universal accessibility and non-discrimination of persons with disabilities in accessing and using public transportation as a duty to fulfill all levels of government.
Law 5 / 2003 of December 2 set out the steps to move progressively forward in the adoption of measures to guarantee the right of equal opportunities for persons with disabilities, in accordance with Articles 9.2, 10, 14 and 49 English Constitution.
As a result, entered into force on November 23, 2007 the RD 1544/2007, which establishes different deadlines for the adoption of the measures contained in that RD. In order that this rule applies in this City, requested the adoption by the plenary of the Corporation, the following agreements:
1. The City of The Union agrees to adopt the measures that are required by Royal Decree 1544/2007, which regulates the basic conditions of accessibility and non-discrimination for access and use of transport modes for people with disabilities so urgent.
2. Require both the government and concessionaires to adopt the measures contained in this Decree.
