THE GENERAL BUDGET OF THE STATE REGOGE NOT ONE EURO FOR THE REGENERATION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL APPROVES
Analyzing the Draft State Budget presented by the Zapatero government, it appears that the departure of Regeneration Portman Bay does not have a single euro in the period between 2010 and 2012.
This is surprising because in the light of the recent meetings of the Monitoring Committee of the regeneration project, it is subject only to determine the date of tender of the works, which in theory should occur at the next meeting of this Commission to conclude in mid-October. This lack of budgetary provision is an expression of lack of political will by the Government to address once and for all the feedback so often claimed as deferred, for almost 20 years. This is particularly important in a town, La Union, whose unemployment rate exceeds 30% of the population, twice the regional average.
Therefore, IU of The Union hopes that during the parliamentary process of budgets, and as a result of pressure from the social fabric of Portman and La Union and the City Council finally available date tender works and this is reflected in the acceptance of an amendment to the draft budget, under the heading of 2010 which collects at least 20 million euros for the start of the regeneration works. Walk in that direction the IU-ICV representatives in the Congress of Deputies.
